Leaves used in the blend of this brand come from the Hoyo de Monterrey plantation which is located on the fertile banks of San Juan y Martinez River, right in the heart of the Vuelta Abajo region. The Hoyo de Monterrey plantation has a well-known reputation way before its name was first used on a brand of Habanos in 1865. The flavour of Hoyo de Monterrey's blend makes it an attractive choice for those who seek a delicate yet aromatic Habano that is lighter to the taste but with great elegance and complexity

Before lighting up

Mild and earthy beginning. Evolves progressively without being aggressive. A very pleasant cigar. Reminds us with the glory days of Cuba (precastro small cigars like Rey Del Mundo Royal Serie No.3 ). The finish is outstanding. We couldn't stop smoking the last part even if we had to burn our fingers. A great cigar, will be even greater in a 3-6 months time. One of the best new cigars of 2004. It has nothing to do with an Epicure No.2.
