Some of the hottest names in the cigar business will be in the Big Apple on Saturday for an all-day event at the Cigar Inn and the Cigar Aficionado Lounge. In attendance will be Nestor Miranda and Rene Casteceda of Miami Cigar & Co. (Nestor Miranda Special Selection cigars), Eddie Ortega and Erik Espinosa of United Tobacco (601, Cubao, and Murcielago) and lauded cigarmaker Jose "Pepin" Garcia along with son and daughter Jaime and Janny. Pepin is the man behind these brands, all of which are produced at My Father Cigars Inc. in Estele, Nicaragua.
In addition to meeting these cigar personalities, attendees will have the chance to preview the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial, a 6 inch by 56 ring limited-edition cigar that won't be released until next year.
The event, held at Cigar Inn's Second Avenue location between 53rd and 54th Streets in Manhattan, will span from 11 a.m. to midnight and will offer Colombian coffee, a mojito bar, Presidente beer, Barcely Imperial Rum and a Latin jazz band during the day.
